Is this a single handle faucet or a double handle? If it's a single handle, you have to turn the water off then remove the handle. The set screw for this should be under a little plastic plug under the handle near the base of the handle. After you remove the handle, remove the housing cap to expose the valve ball. Under the valve ball are 2 small circular washers and springs. Pull them out and replace them. If it is a cartridge style faucet like a Moen, then you remove the u shaped retaining ring and pull the cartridge out.

If it is a double handle faucet, remove the handle and using a pair of pliers or a crestent wrench remove the stem. You will find the washer at the base of the stem held on by a screw. It could also be a washerless stem and in that case you will need to replace the whole stem.

If you have anymore questions, just respond to the post and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

How do you turn off water under sink to change reverse osmosis filters? I found the football shaped valve that goes to the hose. I turn the valve and water still runs so what am I doing wrong?

Open the RO tap and drain the RO tank (capture and use later). The tap will run a steady stream until tank empties. When tank empties the steady stream will switch to a drip, drip, drip,... This is normal and is the production output rate of the system.

If you capture the drips into a measured container a typical rate is 1 quart per hour, more or less given input line pressure and condition of system filters. Time how long it takes to capture a cup (8oz) and do the math.

The RO feed line is likely a piercing saddled type valve. It will take several turns (clockwise) to close the valve. Keep turning CW until it stops. With the tank empty (tap will drip, drip, drip,...) close the filter feed line valve and the drip, drip, drip will eventually stop, indicating the system no longer has water pressure.

The door water dispenser is dripping-will not stop. What is a quick fix

Sorry no quick fix. It sounds like the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator is not shutting off completely. Just like a kitchen sink with a bad washer that needs replaced. Only in this case the inlet valve needs replaced. It may have sediment and dirt inside not letting it seal (shut off) completely. Not hard to replace but takes some time.

My kitchen tap keeps dripping all the time how do i stop it

The washers and seals on either the hot or cold side of the faucet need to be replaced. Until they can be replaced and the dripping is keeping you up at night or you don't want to waste water. Turn off the shutoff valves to the faucet under the sink. Just remember to turn them back on when you need to use them.

I have a Koiler A112.181M or 157-076-ST kitchen faucet. On the back there is a small hole and it is leaking.. What can I do to stop the leak( A small drip) Thank You Jeff

If there is a hole on the spout itself then you should go ahead and replace th.e whole faucet. This will save you both time and money in the long run

I had a dripping Kohler Finial kitchen faucet

Any bit of dirt or grit in the line will get caught in the cartridge if not flushed properly.
