I couldn't turn off the security alarm on my 1999 Pathfinder as I replaced the battery, Solution: I read the solution here to disconnect the positive cable, open the driver's door, insert the key, then reconnected the positive cable, while honking, I turn the key to the left, to the right and to the left again while the door is still open. The honking stopped. Then I started the truck without a problem. Thank you for the hint.
1) test the batteries 2) rETIGHT THE spring contact batteries 3) Resolder wires for contact batteries, see if there are some wires missing. 4) Try again with the codes. go www. fitness.manualsonline.com get the code , and reset again. Otherwise the remote control you must go to the repair shop.
Sometimes, the lower contacts get bent downward after years of use, causing the batteries to ride low in the compartment, and thus making poor contact when the battery door is closed. Try lifting/bending these interior battery contacts upward, so that the batteries ride higher when inserted.
Yes, but what batteries have you been changing? If the AA's, those aren't the clock battery. Open the battery door, and notice the tiny door inside labeled "CR1220". Pry that door open with your fingernail, and take the enclosed CR1220 battery down to your local drugstore to purchase a replacement clock battery. Drugstores seem to be cheaper for this battery (~$3) than retail outlets like W-Mart (~$7).
Open your battery door. See this picture. Notice the little door saying CR1220? Pry it open with your fingernail. The enclosed CR1220 battery is the camera's "watch" battery for time and date. Sounds like it may be "time" for a replacement. Take the battery to your local drugstore to purchase a replacement. Don't know why, but drugstores seem to have this battery at a more reasonable price (~$3) than W-Mart or other retail store (~$7).
Some of The Canon Powershot A530 and A540 cameras are subject to an advisory recall. Seems that a small spring on the battery compartment door can short out the batteries. Suspect this of yours, in that you mention that your batteries aren't lasting long. If your camera is on the list, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please see this link for more info.
The HTsi & HTsi Plus cameras do not take AA batteries. They take two CR2 batteries. One AA battery will only be 1.5 volts. The CR2 batteries are 3 volts each, providing 6 volts to the camera(when you have 2 installed). So if you insert a AA battery, there is not a high enough voltage to allow the camera to operate, which is why it doesn't do anything in your case. The AA battery will not damage the electronics of the camera, but it may physically damage the "battery compartment door" if you have to force it closed.
There is a slide-type button on the back that is labeled "Lock . . On". The "On" mode is just that, it turns the camera on. The "Lock" mode is actually the "Off" mode.
You don't need to open the camera to change the film. The battery door is on the other end. You open the door by inserting the protrusion on the plastic end piece of the strap into the slot of the battery door. It takes a small 3 volt battery.
Does anyone know how to open the battery door?
