Muvo V100 installed the software and connected player when told to but when i open the MuVo V100 icon under mycomputer it states the device is not connected when it is connected and displays the creative icon

Just a guess but try and plug it into the one of the back USB ports of your PC

you may have already done this, but try pluggin it on another pc and see if it recognizes it, if it does. then your computer may have problem.

after "connecting it" go to device manager and see if your device shows there.

Muvo v100 mp3 flash

you have to do it again...follow the procedure as i told...
if possible update the firmware of your muvo 100 .

it can be done easily.

1.all you have to do computer having net facility.
2.go to creative.com
3.search there for a keyword named "mp3 player recovery tool"
4.from there download that tool ,install it in your pc .then it will automatically detect your drive,it will format it.and will install latest firmware.

Creative Muvo V100 is not working

My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in July 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.05.01.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Go the the Home page of Creative.com and navigate to the location for the installation software (came with player within its package). Therein you will find an expanded user manual.
