Slightly wobblyLarge Wheel

When I am being pushed in my wheelchair the large wheel tire on my right side has started to rub on the plastic panel under my right arm rest. What must I do to reduce the wobble enough to stop the tire from rubbing against the panel under my right arm rest?

Is the wheel rubbing the brake caliper?

Is something like the wheel well liner rubbing the tire(airflow pushing it into tire)?

Jack the tire off the ground and rotate it by hand. Push in & out at the top, sides, and bottom of the tire. Little or no play is considered acceptable. If you get a "clunking" sound and/or a lot of play the bearing(s) are bad. (If front wheel drive, chock rear tires, put transmission in neutral so you can rotate tire.)

Hope this helps.

Rubbing noise from rear of scooter

Hello,
Please check that there is no surface touching the tires of the scooter, second this can be some plastic on top of the wheels, also it could even be a harmless friction sound.
Thanks

I need to replace the tires and casters on my probasics wheelchair. I am not sure what I should order and whether the tires come on the wheels ot what.

As a general rule, it is best to replace the caster as a complete assembly consisting of tire and wheel hub. Usually this is the only way to replace casters when the tire is molded on to the wheel hub. It is the best way to replace the caster since you get a tire, wheel hub and 2 new bearings.
With regard to the drive wheels on a manual wheelchair you can get just a new tire. With a plastic mag wheel and hand-rim you can sometimes get just a replacement snap-on tire to replace the existing.(Snaps on like a rubber band using tire irons). If the hand-rim, wheel, spokes, and bearings are worn or broken, you are usually better off replacing the wheel assembly. With power chairs, it is more cost effective to only replace the drive tires and use the existing wheel rims. Hope this helps.

I have the exact same problem. This is a Fortress Scientific 2001LX C series. Not sure what exactly the free wheel lever is, but I'll assume that it's the lever that touches the tire? You can't budge this...

MaryJain The scooters freewheel lever should be at the right rear of the scooter under the shroud and no it shouldn'd be touching the tire. To put it freewheel you should push the lever down. Now if the lever is rubbing the tire you can try to get someone to push it sideways toward the left tire to get it away from the right tire. It should move easily into and out of gear. Be careful not to break it or the small micro switch on the brake. Hope this helps you

I want to repair one of the rear tires. How do I disassemble?

Hard rubber or plastic cap in center to be gently pried off, this will expose a C clip holding the wheel onto a splined shaft. Jack the mower frame up until the tire is off the ground. Remove C clip and then the wheel, being careful keep it, the washers, and the key in order. If you lose the key, which will fall out when you pull the wheel off, axle will not spin the wheel when you put it back together. Note tire can accidentally be put on backwards, so make sure you do not do that or you will rub a groove right through the tire. Mower tires cost more than car tires. Most tire shops can also fix large mower tires.

Very loud "rubbing " sound when driving only

you did damage to the wheel bearing i bet it sounds like a airplane sound. also if you steering wheel is off 7"then have front end aligned because this will destroy the tires and they will make noise.
