Touch the input pin of the vertical IC, by the blade of the screwdriver, and see whether there is a tendency to change with width of the horizontal line on screen. If so, check and replace the horizontal, video if, vertical oscillator jungle IC. Check the frequency to the input of the vertical scan IC, with a frequency meter. If there is frequency, and still no vertical scan output, check the yoke connection, and make sure that it has no open circuit. Most likely a bad Vertical IC or bad connections on the vertical IC. don't continue trying it on. If you have a bad connection it could do more damage. You also could damage the CRT ( picture tube ). If you remove the cover and look at the bottom side of the PC bord with a good magnifiing glass you may see what looks like rings around the leads comming from the Vertical IC. The Vertical IC is mounted on a heat sink usually towards the front of the set looking from back. If you do see the rings around the leads try reheating with a solder iron. If this dosen't fix you most likely need a new IC.

check the b+ supply of your flyback if they have check the horisontal transistor. check also if they have 5v supply in the system and 9v in the chroma ic or replace the memory ic.please reply.

The STKs are three channel ICs they each control horizontal and vertical of one color the third channel controls part of green and the other half of green is controled by the other ICs third channel. Its customary for the Ics to fail and only have one channel bad in the IC. However its recomended to change both because of the bad Ic having green it can actually weaken the other IC and that one will fail shortly.

Hi, your problem is convergence circuitry. I will get worse then stop. There is 4 things that may cause your problem.
Listed is the most likely to the leased likely.
1- bad convergence ic, I would need to know what colour is the most effected to tell you exsacly witch of the two is gone. Look at the back for ic location IK04/05 for stk392-110.
2- bad resistors, were the ic's or located look for bad resistors, mostly 1 to 3 ohms. I've seen some bads' one
3-power supply, these ic's have power going to them, pine 4/8/12/17 or -23 and pine 5/10 or+23 if they or low or have riple would be also your source, these source's or derived from the power supply look for bad cap's, burt fuse( pico style) or could bad regulator (ic's, transistor, diode).
4- alway's look for cold solder joints, it's a small posibility, but it may be your cause for bad regulation or changes in power goin in or out of the convergence ic's

One of your convergence IC's has burned out and needs to be replaced. If the green color is sagging from the top or bottom then the IC that handles the Green Vertical (GV) is bad, and if the green has moved inward on the left or right sides then the IC that handles the Green Horizontal (GH) is bad. Toshiba projection TV's typically use the STK392-110, and it is a good idea to go ahead and replace both IC's with the updated STK392-150's. If you do not have experience replacing convergence IC's then have a qualified tech handle it for you.

you have a vert sweep problem. Probably the vertical output Ic the B+ going to the vert out IC or in rare cases the deflection yolk could be bad but not likly.
