Most consumer camera have lenses that are too small to let enough light in dark situations. The only thing you can really do is try to light up what you are filming more, or buy a camera with a better lens and higher aperture rating.

How can I take video at night in the dark?

Need a video light; it's a bright light that does not strobe like a flash but is steady on. I would not recommend that for low light; you need a full-frame dSLR for the best low light.

My screen is very dark ...cannot adjust brightness...

Hi, if it is very dark to the point that it is almost black and has no light at all then there is a part in the display needs to be replaced, it is called fl tube. if the screen is dark but still there is somewhat some light then try going into the power setting, your pc might be set for low brightness to reserve power, see if you can adjust there, otherwise your display may just be going bad... Best of Luck

How to use a panasonic DVX100B in the dark?

Your best solution is to get a on camera light or a 3 point lighting system but that can get quite expensive. Another solution is making a couple of adjustments on the camera which allow more light into the camera. Please note this will not give you any kind of a night vision type of thing and you really can't "shoot in the dark" but you can shoot in low light, this process will allow more light into the CCD's producing a better image in low light. What you are going to do is: 1st make sure the ND Filter is on the OFF position. Next you are going to want to find the IRIS button it is located to the left of the LCD monitor. Next open the monitor and press the iris button and make sure it is set on manual. After doing this, turn the iris wheel (next to the iris button) all the way down you will see it go from F-(what ever the number is) to OPEN. That will open the iris all the way allowing the most light into the camera possible. If your image is still too dark then find the GAIN switch is is located on the same control panel as the iris button. You will see 3 selectors, L (Low); M(medium); and H (High). First switch it to medium and if it is still too dark, crank it down one more to High (please note that turning up the gain lowers resolution). This is really all you can do in low light with the Panasonic DVX100b. Hope this helped!

Screen too dark even with all brightness settings set to max

The picture is very dark it is mostly due to 1 power supply output is low. 2 voltage on crt g2 pin is low. 3 video output supply is low. 4 some components in luminance section might be defective or loose. 5 finally crt getting weak is set is old. good luck
