HI TRY DEFROSTING ALL FIRST.MIGHT HAVE ICE BUILD UP AT THE BOTTOM.IF IT WORKS GREAT. IF NOT THEN FURTHER INVESTIGATION REQUIRED.SERVICE COND/UNIT.GOOD LUCK ALI
Airflow around the condenser grill is very important. So you should take off the front grill and vacuum out that area the best you can.
Since this is a gradual warming trend you might have ice build up on your evaporator coils (usually means that defrost circuit malfuntioning). If you remove the food, shelves and back panel of your freezer section, you will be able to see if there is ice build up. If there is, unplug the unit and then use a hair dryer to melt the ice. Make sure you are ready to deal with the ice melt with either spongs and bucket or a wet/dry vac.
Sounds like the drainage hole is blocked with ice, i normally take the back cover off the freezer and at the bottom you will see a build up of ice at the bottom, turn freezer off and carefully remove as much ice as you can, then pour some boiling water over the excess ice and in the middle you will see a drain hole make sure water then freely flows down drain hole. Other than that you could try switching your freezer off for 24 hours to clear ice.
loook for ice build up in back of freezer . and if found you have a failed defrost system .. the coil is blocked with ice and this prevents the cold air form getting to the fresh food side . look at the heater in the back of freezer ... mm . if heater is ok then replace the adative defrost control . / a very common part failure .. mm
If the freezer is staying cold it sounds like a defrost system problem. A bad timer, heater or thermostat can cause frost to build up on the coils and block air flow to the refrig side. Check out ACMEHowTo.com for troubleshooting the defroster problem.
There is a small duct between the freezer and refrigerator side if this is blocked the frig side won't cool.
Because you mentioned that last week you had an ice problem I need to ask was anything done to fix or check the defrost system? The number one reason for this is the Adaptive Defrost Control part number 61005988 If this is OK then we need to check the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. The ADC is located inside the fresh food compartment and behind the control panel used to adjust the temperatures in the freezer and refrigerator. I will be here if you need my help, Thanks, Sea Breeze Adaptive Defrost Assembly P/N: 61005988
I HAVE A MSD2454GRW, 23.5 CU, MAYTAG AND ICE BUILDS UP ON THE FLOOR OF THE FREEZER TO A POINT WHERE IT RUNS ON THE FLOOR. CAN CLEAN IT OUT AND 12-15 HOURS LATER, ITS BACK.
Most likely you are having a defrost issue. If you evaporator builds up with ice it won't allow the cold air to cycle from the freezer into the refer section. A good place too start is the defrost thermostat on the heater.
the heat is from the condensor keeping the door from frezzing shut it is normal but you need to adjust the food compartment contorl it might say for a for a coler frezzor turn up then you do and the food compartment gets warmer all it is is a air baffle to alow more cold air into the food compartment turn the cold control half way its the one that has off on it and then turn the other control to a lower number to make more cold go into the food compartment
