do you have the driver on the printer install disk or the disk at all?

if you can find the Mx390 model on it's mfg website, you may be able to download the drivers for it from the website to your pc. Windows can sometimes find drivers for some devices by searching its databases but nowadays, it usually expects devices to have their drivers come with them. otherwise find the website of te device and its drivers downloaded from the website.

Usually the drivers from other vendor's websites are fine, as the motherboard is actually made up of components from other vendors. I also noticed that there are Vista 64bit drivers for that motherboard on the Asus website. In many cases, these drivers will work fine in Windows 7 as well.

Go to the website http://www.ma-config.com/
there go to the "detect your configuration" option, follow the automatic detection step.
it will detect all the devices attached with the computer and from there you can install the sound drivers.
If you know the model number and the make of the computer...go to there website and you can download the drivers from the website as well

How to download driver

The best source is the manufacturesr's web site, typically under SUPPORT.
Be careful when you google it and you get lots of "unknown" driver sites other than the manufacturesr's. These are ussually full of spyware. It is prudent to avoid them.
