PS2 Locks-up during running

After playing a game for a while, say five minutes, the screen goes black and remains black except for a flashing small white square top left of screen. I have seen this square during running when the screen is changing and the console seems to be loading something. The console will reset OK, but the game is lost. Older PS2 model SCPH-50003 (UK) Any help appreciated.

During Black ops in between levels on HARD difficulty screen goes black and sits that way. I tried replaying the level and get the same problem every time. This only happened on the HARD level.

When I play some games on my syncmaster 215tw, the screen goes black after 5 minutes. I have to reboot everytime to get the screen back on. The blue light flashes but i cant do nothing until i reboot....

that means your VGA is not big enough to run the game. This problem is not from the monitor but your system.I suggest an upgrade in your system to enhance better performance.

PS2 Shuts Itself Down

hmm, annoyingly this is quite a common problem on the early releases of the slimline Ps2 models. The power supply units get to hot and can cause this problem. I'd recommend getting an updated PSU unit which will be available online

PS2 Console Problem

My ps2 actually did this for a long time. Either it "Died" as they say, or something is wrong with the internal part of the ps2. If you open it properly, there is a white gear you'll find. This keeps the cd, and a few other things on track. Turn this gear to the left 3-5 ticks. Close the ps2 and it should be fixed. If you have anymore problems post it please.
