Thermostate problem We had a storm/small power surge last night. The freezer thermostate is fine, the fridge thermo is climbing, sitting at 68/69 now. We've thrown the breaker and let it sit a couple of minutes--didn't work. We've shut both thermostats off, and let it sit for five; didn't work. I can hear it come back on after we've shut it off, but I can't figure out how to reboot the fridge thermostat to 38 degrees. Help!
PS this happened once before, about a year ago; cycling the thermostat UP to off, and then turning it back on, worked almost immediately.

That power surge probably burnt out the guse on the circuit board. I suspect you may need a new board unless you know an electricity geek who can replace the fuse. New I would check your warranty. That circuit board might cost $200. plus..
Some Of These Fridge Freezers If You Open The Door For The Freezer There Is A Switch Between The Fridge And Freezer Door Mine Done The Same And I Had To Replace That Switch It Turns The Fan On When Door Is Closed And Off When Open
Check for small fuse on circuit board: http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html Water heater circuit boards are NOT protected from surge. And reset button does not protect from surge. Nearby lightning can put out any household appliance, especially since more of these things are electronic instead of mechanical. Install single-use whole house surge protector and replace it after each surge event instead of replacing appliances. http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Whole-house-surge-protector.html The quickest solution for tankless is to replace whole thing with more reliable tank-type electric heater for $275 from local box store.
Being a newer fridge I would look at the control board being faulty. They do not Handel porters surges very well and you may have blown a relay or resistor on the board. I would install a surge protector on anything you own with electronics in the future.
this kind of power surge from an electrical storm would have taken out the nvram chips on the boards get a new printer and install it using a a surge protector
Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.
Your fridge should be fine, if you have surges that frequently getting a whole house surge protection package would make alot of sense. Surges are especially damaging to electronic circuits found in TV's computers, cell phones, answering machines aell frankly in just about everything. Well worth the charge.
Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!
First thing to do is try to plug the pc in another wall socket to see if it goes on, If not, the MB could have gotten fried, even though the other plugs seem to work. Hopfully you just need another surge protector as that could have gotten damaged.
