No sound driver detected

My dell latitude c640 connot detect a sound driver,
service tag HCKS61S
i have already install the driver CRYSTAL software in the website of dell.
but still the same.
in the icon toolbars i cannot see the speaker icon.
when i open the properties of sound. i connot drag the volume to high. and i connot enable it.
plz help me..

Did you go to Device Manager and Re-Install your drivers.

I need VGA controller

Please go on the dell website which is www.dell.com put your service tag under the tag option the serive tag your system drivers while be dispalyed .. the video drivers are at the end of the list so choose the drivers & click on download now.. & follow the steps to download.

Also download the chipset drivers for the same list .. that will help for the better computer work.

Let me know if this doesn't resloves your issue. We will work further on it.

Hi guy plz help me i got a dell latitude C640 and its not willing to detect my cd drive. after loading bios its telling me the device in the modular bay cannot be recognised and its not booting into...

hi,
check if any updates are availble for the bios
go to support.dell.com > drivers and downloads > put in your service tag and check if any update is available you can update your bios

you can also try restore your bios to factory settings you have an option for this in the bios menu as well and then connect the drive and then boot.

Dell c640 Latitude , CD ROM detected but no content displayed

please check it in different CD or DVD. then check it in a another cd drive attaching to ur laptop. otherwise format your laptop it may be infected with some virus
