Nintendo wii screen only showing green white and pink

  • devo2devo Apr 03, 2009

We have the same problem. The Wii worked fine until we tried to connect an digital converter box. Then the screen was white/bright with only green visible. TV adjustments didn't make a difference. Prior to this we had an anolog connector. Now the screen is faded with or without any converter.

SOURCE: Nintendo Wii works fine on standard tv but not on hdtv.

FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!!! The problem appears to be the Freeview somehow interfering with the Wii signal. When the aeriel lead is removed the Wii works fine, and the audio/visual signal is great. When the aeriel lead is in I have the problems. I hope this solution proves to be of use to anyone else having similar problems.

My wii turns on and the television says that there is no signal but my turns on because y see the power buttons light turn green. Also the wii receives messages because the disc slot turns on then blue...

Make sure you AVI(yellow, red, white)cables are pushed in all the way or you might have it on the wrong channel or you put the AVI cables in a differnt place than last time.

I have a Samsung tv that has no place to plug in the yellow cord. It is a new high dollar HDTV what do I need to get the wii to play? No, there is no yellow hole, the picture is black and white, with...

The only way I was able to get around this was to plug into use component 1 then plug the yellow into the green on the far right. The problem I now have is that I can only use component 1. When I plug a dvd or wii into component 2, it shows still shows up in black & white, even when I plug the yellow into the green. I am not a happy Samsung owner.
