Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I get no green light from my 360 wireless controller when I push the "ON/OFF" button. Naturally, I tried using new batteries, but if that worked I wouldn't be wasting everyone's time. Does anyone know of a possible solution short of buying a new one? XBox is used so I don't know if it's under warranty. Thanks.
The same thing happened to me the other day. My controller simply stopped working! So I called MS to report the problem, and they asked me to send it and they replaced it at no cost. They only asked me for my Console's Serial Number (I bought it on December 06 so it was under the 1 year warranty) and that was it. I received my new controller 1 week later. Have you tried using the rechargeable battery pack from MS? Because maybe what went wrong in your controller is the battery pack.

Ok the reason why the contoller just stop working is because microsoft has built all there x boxs and xbox contorlers to self destruct the have put in a little power diode like device so after so it is used for a preset period of time they stuff up that is why they will replace them out of warranty and this is not good enought i have a contact at microsoft and the reason why they put this in is becasue all the wireless devices use 2.4ghz wich is a really high freq so the only diode they could get to fit and make the circut work for this is this one wich means it is not designed for ongoing transmitting and reciving so there is nothing to do when it stop its burnt out another reason why xbox should have gone bluetooth aka ps3
