Question about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS / 1000D IS Digital Camera

Canon Rebel XS says it's busy

Just purchased the above camera new, took about 50 photos today and now the camera won't work. Turn it on, no data on LCD screen, flash will pop up and inside viewfinder displays "busy"...won't take pictures. What is going on?

    Same thing happened to me yesterday.  Got the camera for Xmas - Have used about 3 times.  Just stopped working after I took about 10 pictures.  LCD is out - Says Busy.  I called Canon and they said to send it in.  I brought it into a Ritz Camera and they thought the LCD just died.


    Anyone have a solution besides sending it in for repair??

The only problem with SD card download stuff is that the LCD screen has to be working. If that is part of the problem, how can the instructions be followed?
