HDD082/17 player stops working at the "Phillips" screen

My player was working fine a couple of days ago and when i turn it on today, it stays stuck at the blue "Phillips" screen. The computer will not detect it because of this. any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

    Found my own solution and thought i'd post it here for future reference in case anybody else had the same problem in the future.

    i have the same problem, and i tried using that solution, but it wont work at all.

    any other suggestions?

Did you checked that a the HOLD function is not enabled ?
It is a button on the player, allowing you to "block" the player in case of unintentional buttons pressings.

I ran into the problem and it was corrosion on the battery terminals. on the inside against the battery. also check the the terminals for good connection.

Frozen NS-8V24

I pulled the battrery cover off and removed the battery. Leaved out for a couple of minutes then replaced and reversed the order. Then I turned it back on, and it still stays at the "Profiling media files" box. What should I do?

The player only gives a white screen

Check your battery voltage it could be low and if thats the case rejuvenate it to its original capacity. And reinstall the software.
