A) Replacement LCD screen backlight could be bad.
Happens. Sometimes you get a bad part. (Bad LCD screen assembly, in this case)
LCD screen may not be the correct one.

B) Screen Inverter:
May be bad, or the Wrong one
C) You may not have the screen Inverter, connected correctly to the Backlight.
Connections aren't tight.
D) The Display Cable TO LCD screen connection may not be tight, or correctly connected.
I know the display shows graphics, but a poor connection of Display Cable to LCD screen, can make the Backlight dim out.
I'm betting it is a poor connection, or the wrong screen Inverter, or wrong LCD screen.

(Be shame to kick that laptop to the curb. Nice laptop)
I'm having the same problem. The audio is fine, and all the buttons are fine and working. I can change the channels just fine but just can't see what's playing because the display light is out. Makes it a bit difficult to find the channel you need to switch to. My unit is exactly 2 years old and I'm not ready to spend more money on a new one just yet.

Just last week my backlight flickered on and off a few times and now it is lights out. The buttons light up but it takes holding it at an angle in a bright light to read the display. This is my second one I have owned as the first unit stopped broadcasting in stereo. I am finished with JVC products! JVC = Just Very Crappy!
I have the same backlight problem. Does anyone know if it can be fixed?
