Does the trimmer blade move side to side? there's a fixed comb and a movable comb. the movable comb is much like a hedge trimmer. a cutter moving right next to a fixed guide comb. its supposed to shear off hair with every side to side motion. if its not moving it ain't cutting. it operates off the electromagnet inside the unit. broken linkage will cause the problem.

Engine start procedure for grass trimmer 350 L x series

  • With the trimmer placed on a level piece of ground press the primer bulb about 10 times.
  • Open the choke.
  • Press the throttle and lock it in place with the lock button
  • Pull the start cord until the engine catches. It doesn't matter if it cuts out again.
  • Close the choke, and if the engine did cut out the first time, pull the start cord again. This time it should start and you can start trimming the grass. If it didn't cut out just close the choke and you're ready for trimming.

The line trimmer does not cut the line i have to keep a pair of scissors to trim the string in my pocket

The trimmer guard should have a small steel blade where the line strikes the shield that keeps the line cut to the correct length. Check your shield to make sure the blade hasn't come loose. If it has, you should be able to get a replacement blade for it. If the shield has been beaten up too much, you'll have to replace the shield.

Trimer buing Question

Double position trimmers For extended reach while on the ground, a double position trimmer avoids you having to climb up high by allowing you to adjust the handle into a right angle to the blades for a level cut across the top of the hedge. Clippings collector As you trim your hedge, collect those stray cuttings in a clippings collector for a neater finish. Automatic cut out An important safety feature, this automatically switches off the hedge trimmer once the trigger is released. Hand guard For reassuring safety, a hand guard will protect you from the moving blades and from falling cuttings as you work.

Trimmer malfunction

Hi,

I had same problem, at first I could not find out how to seperate the small silver cover with the on/off switch from the rest. After removing the 3 torx screws, 1 at the power entrance, and 2 under the shaver blade. You can remove the black cover. I also removed 2 more torx screws to separate the battery, from the rest, (don't know if thats really necessary). The silver covers are 'clicked' into eachother. When lifted the part where the battery part was screwed into, the silver parts became partly seperated, then you can pull the part apart.
I cleaned/washed the trimmer part with wd40 contact spray.
Assembled the parts, and made sure that the little plastic nodge was came into the trimmer.
Cleaned it all (removed leaking wd 40) and works fine again.
Hopefully this is helpfull to anyone.

Goodluck,
Adrian
