Question about Samsung HP-R4252 42 in. Plasma HDTV
My TV is about 15 months old and is now starting to show a bright purplish tint to high contrast images, i.e. faces, whites etc. Usually not all over the screen but only when in high contrast Blacks in background. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this???? It seems to only do this when it has been on for an hour or so and the input source does not matter. Antenna, HDMI, or Component. Thanks,
The problem is normally called "Diffusion". It's the most common problem I come across on Plasma televisions. If this is your problem, then, the VSCAN and/or the VS must be adjusted (usually counter clockwise about 10 volts). The VSCAN is adjusted first and will remove most, if not all the diffusion. If you need a technician in your area, contact Samsung at: 1-800-samsung. If you like, respond to this post with a picture and we can analyze it further.
