I have a Samsung HP-S4253X/XAA Plasma with coloration problems
My TV is about 15 months old and is now starting to show a bright purplish tint to high contrast images, i.e. faces, whites etc. Usually not all over the screen but only when in high contrast Blacks in background. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this???? It seems to only do this when it has been on for an hour or so and the input source does not matter. Antenna, HDMI, or Component.

Re:
The problem is normally called "Diffusion".
It's the most common problem I come across on Plasma televisions.
If this is your problem, then, the VSCAN and/or the VS must be adjusted (usually counter clockwise about 10 volts). The VSCAN is adjusted first and will remove most, if not all the diffusion.

Plasma is old technology and it is 16 years old and made in Mexico, the worst place for quality control. It is time for a new one, or at least an upgrade. Or you can get a board kit and take a chance on fixing it.
your Samsung TV is experiencing issues such as sound but no picture, you can reset it by unplugging it and holding the power button for 30 seconds. If you're having issues turning your TV on, you may need to unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it directly into an outlet that you know works properly. You can also try pressing and holding the power button on your remote until the TV turns off and on again. If the issue persists, please contact Samsung Support for further assistance.

This problem is down to the actual LCD or plasma screen, if this shows as the screen warms up and stays on then the screen will need to be replaced, you should go back to your retailer (not manufacturer) and report this problem, depending on the store and how long you have had the tv, the tv can be replaced for a like for like tv at store as this is not a cheap standard repair.
this set only has a 12 month parts and labor warranty so you need to call 1 800 samsung or the dealer you bought it from..the problem with adjusting the v_set and v_scan voltages is it may last for 6 months and then you would still need a new plasma panel..better to have a samsung authorized tech check it
This is usually caused by an over voltage on one of the panel voltages, if you open up the set and look at the panel you will find a sticker with the panel voltages on it, if you adjust the VS voltage down about 10 volts it will go away, if it doesn't the adjust the Vscan voltage down about 5-10 volt
