Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
Hi, I am having vertical lines on the screen and when I install the Nvidia 5700 drivers the screen goes blank. same problem if I connect the external monitor and after installation of driver when screen goes blank a sound is heard as when you connect any plug n play device to the USB port. I have updated the system bios but still no good. any Suggesstions... Regards.
Www.hpnotebooksettlement.com as yours is with out a doubt a ZD7000.. Weve repaired hundreds of these and check your SKU and serial to see if it qualifies.

What is the exact model for your laptop? If you go to HP website using the laptop, you can have them "autodetect" what drivers you are actually supposed to be using. Find the display driver associated with your specific laptop and use that. Look for the link to "Software and Downloads" and click on it. There will be a black button in the middle for "Autodetect". Download that latest driver.

Hi, Craig13
Thanks for the advice but this was the very first thing that I did. I have tried almost all of the drivers available on the net.
My laptop is Pavilion zd7255ea.
If you have any other soluction please advice. And also I want to mention that the vertical lines don't just come in Windows but they are right there as soon as you switch on the laptop.
