Re: changing of ps2 consol light from green to red
Try to hold the red button & see if it works.
if not then turn the ps2 off & try again.
if it doesnt work then look for a nearby ps2 repair shop. dont go reparing over 90 pounds when you can get a new one.
hope for the best, eh.

hi, there are two reason for that 1] s.m.p.s. not gives proper voltage. 2] your logic card not working. check output votage of s.m.p.s. if worst then change it.otherwise change logic card with working one.
Well, Prvt. Connor that maybe the reset button was damage and wire loss, I suggest you to open PS2 console and look at the reset button wire and change it if was broken or replace and clening than place it again
I believe your PS2 has a short circuit and needs another motherboard. If you can do this yourself, great. You can find Motherboards or PS2 like yours that will not read discs but will boot up for about $25 on Ebay. If your not comfortable with Changing out your motherboard, then Click on the "Repair directory" at the bottom of this screen. Once that screen pops up. Clickopn Video Gamer Console Repair. Choose a good Repair shop.
