Hi, if you have the original driver CD for your system then run the whole set up not just the audio. If you donot have this CD then look inside your computer, locate the manufacturer and any model numbers you can see. go the manufacturers web page and download the latest drivers there. Can you use your SYSTEM RESTORE function? You can find it:

If this doesn't fix it, I always fall back on Realtek Audio sound drivers. I've never found anything that Realtek wouldn't get the sound working on yet. You can google it and download it for free.

Short of that, it sounds like you will need to restore your sound drivers to make your sound work.

No sound, drivers can't be found

right click on the red X icon select playback devices there will be a red x on the speakers right click configure them

Please make sure that the sound is not in mute. If it's unmute and still has no sound, try to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver. Drivers are located in device manager. Simply type device manager on the search box to find it. In the device manager, expand the sound video and game controller category, usually the audio driver is the realtek high definition audio driver or smart audio. Uninstall the driver and restart the laptop to take effect the changes. Restarting the laptop will automatically reinstall the audio driver. Test the sound.

Hope this works.

Hi, I have an Acer D150 and I have no ''sound icon'' or audio at the moment. I think I deleted the audi/sound/icon by mistake a while ago. Furthermore, I've tried downloading ''RealtekHidhDefinitionAudio''...

U have go to control panel>add remove program>and locate Realtek HD audio driver>uninstall it >and restart...

and then try reinstall the driver again.

Problem with sound system

try to look on the control panel of your computer and find the sound effect manage or sound and audio devices. if still doesn't work then try to reinstall again your audio driver from your motherboard driver cd. it will solve the problem.

Realtek sound driver uninstall problem

Redownload the drivers again form your computer manufactures website.

Restart your computer into Safe Mode by tapping F8 as the system is coming on.

Then Uninstall and Reinstall the drivers again from the Device Manager.

Make sure you are DLing the correct drivers.
