My tv has a blurry picture. I cannot read the guide. I have tried magic focus this did not fix the problem.My Picture has slowly gotten blurry with the writing on the screen and in my guide being unreadable. I can turn the TV off and back on and it will fix for a few seconds.

When you say blurry, s it just hte focus that appears off or are the colors separating? The answer to that question will determine the corrective action.

So that you don't get flooded with any more useless responses, let me outline the possiblilties here:
1) Assume that the picture is just out of focus, Since this starts out OK but gets worse with time, the problem is likely to be a defective part that is somewhat sensitive to heat. This could be as simple as a poor solder connection in the horizontal driver circuit or somewhat more elaborate.
2) If the colors are starting to separate, this is a convergence problem that could as well be just poor solder connections or defective ICs.
If you can solder, you should be able to resolve this yourself. Please let me know if you wish to attempt this repair and I will provide additional details and instructions.
If you choose to have this unit repaired and the problem is with the convergence ICs, expect a parts bill in the $40-$60 range. This particular units uses two ICs for convergence. These are either STK392-110 or STK392-150 and cost between $20-$30 each. Typical labor rates for TV of this size can easily be in the $250-$300 range.
