We had a power outage a couple of nights ago and the key pad stopped working along with the oven. I discovered the SAB code and have attempted to deactivate it but now I get a code that reads "eo sab" and no response from the key pad. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Re: kenmore range 655
It is what is called sabath mode. it locks out the controls and lights ect. check your manual and it will explain how to deactivate the sabath mode for that particular range.
good luck.

The fact that the display is 'ON' confirms you have power.
The displayed info probably is a 'code' for a fault/problem, but you did not provide a brand nor a model. Even if you had, odds are I do not have access to the list of codes & their meanings.
Try unplugging the plug from the wall receptacle. If you cannot reach the power cord next option would be locate the circuit breaker (single pole) which HOPEFULLY is labeled. Either way, try removing / turning OFF power for at least 10-20 seconds! The control's microprocessor may be locked up due to a very short power interruption.
If that does not reset it, I would call service or the manufacture. You can TRY requesting help over the phone FIRST! Good LUCK
Hello. Try pressing and holding the "clock" button until the "SAB" starts blinking. It will then clear and the normal clock display will be showing--your oven is in "Sabbath mode" presently!
This is SB mode, show room mode. To deactivate showroom mode, remove power and reapply. Press Cancel to bypass programming clock. Within 60 seconds of reapplying power, press Oven Light key and top oven Timer key simultaneously.
This is the Sabbath feature on my Kenmore Elite Electric Slide in Range. My oven manual says to press both the (timed oven) "cook time" button and the "delay start" button at the same time for approx. 3 seconds and this should shut down the feature. I had the same problem, tried the above and it worked.
The "F0" fault code is indicating a shorted OFF key pad. A technician would determine if the problem is the Key panel or the Control board by disconnecting the ribbon connector and measuring the flat cable pins 13-14. It should be open and should measure between 100-150 ohms while pressing OFF key.
He would disconnect power to range before testing the key panel.
I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range
The PF on your control indicates a power failure and should be removed by pressing the cancel button. The 5ab code indicates the range is in the SABBATH mode.
If a power failure occurs when the SABBATH mode is set, the oven will return to the OFF mode and will turn the power OFF to the oven.
To ENABLE SABBATH mode:
* Open the oven door * Press STOP/CLEAR * Press both the HOUR "UP" and "DOWN" arrow pad at the same time - and hold for 5 seconds. SAB ON will disappear from the display.
To disable SABBATH mode: Repeat the steps above and SAB OFF will appear.
To set the SABBATH mode for use during the SABBATH/Holidays: * Press BAKE * Pres TEMP "UP" and "DOWN" Arrow pad to enter a different temperature other than 350 degrees. (Between 170F and 500F) * Press COOK TIME * Press HOUR/MIN "up" or "down" arrow to set cook time * Press DELAY START to set a delayed cook time (optional) * Press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds SAB will appear on the display indicating it is ready. * Press START * To STOP cooking - press STOP/CLEAR * To exit the SABBATH mode and return to normal operation - press and hold TIMER OFF for 5 seconds.

Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.
KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric) F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper) F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool) F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC). F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail
Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric- “9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).
KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire) F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal checksum error. Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
I finally found my manual to the range, and to change from celsius to fahrenheit press the BROIL button for 5 seconds. A tone will sound, and the temperature should switch to Fahrenheit.
As far as the code PF 5ab--it could be PF Sab which means the power went out during Sabbath mode. Try pressing and holding TIMER OFF for 5 seconds. If that doesn't work, then open the oven door, press STOP/CLEAR, press both the HOUR "up" and "down" arrow pad at the same time and hold for 5 seconds, "Sab OFF" should appear. Press START to accept the change, then close the oven door.
I went to change time on range and was holding the clock button down and "Sab" came on screen
