Phone handset not working unless on speaker phone

My mother in law is watching a business for her boss and had an issue with her phone not working unless she uses the handset on speakerphone. She does not have the bluetooth intstall and would like to know why after the ATT tech set the volume it worked for a little while and then went back to not being able to hear anything on the handset again. Already tried the Master Reset and that did not work. What can she do to be able to use the phone without using the speaker phone?

Suggeestion if she realy need the cell back ot orinal you can relapce the whole complete speaker connetion cable that connect the buttom phone to the upper part speakers volume control and other vital lcd etec it just a calbe cost 5us

Is this phone been dropped or wet? bring to a local service center to check if you have a physical damage on the phone.

When programing our incoming phone message this is a lot of static on the message which makes the message hard to hear. How do we correct this issue?

Cordless land line phone:

If it is possible to set the greeting from the base speaker phone, use that.
If the base does not have a VOX speaker, move the handset and the base away from anything that emits elelctro magnetic RF...like wifi access points, microwaves, etc and set the greeting.

Cell Phone:

Avoid using the handset to set the voice greeting unless your handset supports a visual voicemail service that captures the audio greeting first and then sends the audio file over the IP.
Call your cellphone# from a landline, hit # or * and your PIN, and access the greeting menu from there.
If your cellphone and carrier support Wifi calls, VoLTE or Packet switched voice service, set your handset up for hat feature. On an iPhone it looks like this:

Phone line repeatedly without reason goes to "in use" and will not go to a dial tone when receiver is picked up. the phone line does not do this when this att phone is not plugged into phone line

My first question would be, have you recently installed any after marked speakers, or radio into the car? You could have a grounded speaker wire, or connections not properly paired that could be causing the issues.

Panasonic phone has duplicate handset numbers

Panasonic is famous for one handset not working. They like you to use their free repair, because then they can get the encryption code your phone system is using.

Local law enforcement frequently requires access to a suspect's stored phone numbers and/or conversations. So this makes it a bit easier for them to get that information. They just get the code from Panasonic.

I recommend that people just forget about the defective handset and store it somewhere.

you just may have a bad handset cord. if you have another phone try changing the cords, or try a different handset

Speaker phone light continually blinks

The blinking light on the speaker button means the forward when busy is on. To cancel it- With the handset on-hook dial #12.
Then press your own station number. Then dial # again. The speaker button should stop flickering.
Note: If the SPK button continues to flicker, Forward all is activated. It is the same process as above but use #11 instead of #12

Suggest you check battery in non working handset is connected and charged. If this is ok, suggest you check this handset is registered with the base station, as out of the box they arent always set to the same channels

Try hitting the speaker button and intercom your boss. When you hit the speaker button to hang up, do you get the same thing? If not. It could be that the gray "clicker" switch that pushes down when you put the handset back isnt going all the way back down...
