On/Off door lock and the 'easy iron' and 'extra rinse' buttons all flash at the same time. Water constantly runs through and we cant change anything.
Machine wont reset or drain and wont switch off. (has to be switched off at the wall).
If machine is off and switched on at the wall it will spring to life, with the flashing lights and running water,as above.
Machine is only 18mth old.
First thing to do is to make sure the washing machine is not siphoning.
sometimes if a washing machine is bringing in water its all so draining it ,known in the trade as siphoning.
the drain hose must be higher than the tub??
Unplug your washing machine from the wall socket for a minute or two and plug it back in to reset its micro.
to me it sounds like a main board fault.
I think you might find that it still maybe under warranty.
ring a Indesit service agent and get some advice.

i had the same problem its the motor you need a new one luckly my father inlaw is a scrap collector and i come across a spare washer and salvaged all the parts and i tried plugging a new circuit board but still the same so i tried changing the door lock mechanisim but still the same, so itried just for the hell of it the motor and weyhey we have life i thought the motor was the most unlikely thing to cause the problem but im happy but for how long? next year will replace it with new washer.
Check the filter which is under the white panel at the front of the machine(the filter is in the lower right hand corner). Unscrew the filter and remove it. Mine was blocked with loads of grease/limescale. I cleared it out and the machine is as good as new again. I cleared the system with half a packet of soda crystals put into the main drum (on its own without any washing in!) and did a wash at 90degrees. Its as good as new now. Good luck. CK
because of the short time this runs then stops, there could be maybe 3 faults,
1 check water inlet valves and supply for water flow
2 check for any motor action (use another programme)
3 check heater element for open circuit
number 1 or number 3 sounds most likely
hope i have helped, if so rate me please
