I believe I have a corrupted file on my Insignia MP3 player. Whenever I turn on, plug in, etc. the player, it freezes on file 168 while building the library. Because of this, it never gets to the MSC mode so that I can delete the file.
Does anyone know of a way to stop this initialization procedure so that I can access drive and remove the corrupted file?

Try resetting the device by pushing a pin into the small hole for about 3 - 6 seconds. You can also try to switch on the mp3 player and format it on the mp3 player itself if you have this function. One of these to solutions should work either way.
