I bought some old radio shows on from amazon, and it such a large
number of shows that they put them on a dvd . I would like to down-
load them on cd so I can play them in my car or cd players....
It depends on the format that they were put on the DVD initially, to play these on a car stereo or CD player they may need converting to be recognised by a standard CD player.
In vista, you can use Windows Media Player to do this. I'd recommend copying them to your computer from the DVD by creating a folder called "radio shows" or similar in an area you can easily find again On the desktop is a good place.
Now open Windows Media Player and insert a blank CD into your CD/DVD drive (I'm assuming you have an optical drive that will burn cd's)
In the menu of Media player, you will see a tab called "burn", click on it and you get the option on the right of the pane to "create a burn list". Make sure the icon says audio cd
Now open the folder you just created called "radio shows", select the first shows you want to burn to cd and drag the file onto the area marked "drag items here to create a burn list"
As you add files the CD meter should start to fill up, when it is near full, you can click on "start burn" which is at the bottom of the pane. Your compilation should now burn to a cd, repeat for the next cd.
If you get stuck, under the burn tab, there is a help with burning guide
