Make sure the camera is turned on, plug the USB cable into your PC first, then into the camera, wait for a beep from your PC to show it has recognized the hookup, then go to "My Computer" and look for the Fuji icon. Don't unplug the camera anytime the lights are flashing on it.

I cannot download pics from my Fuji finepix T200 to my computer, the camera works fine and the pc is new, could it be the usb lead

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Finepix J12 cannot upload photos onto computer.

Here's the best solution. Get a card reader for your card (available at Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, etc.) and use it to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Once there, you can do anything you like with them.

Cant upload pix from my fuji s1000fd to pc finepix program.

instead of using the usb plug that the camera has go to best buy, show them your card, and ask for a card reader
what this will do is plug into a usb port, and it will read the data off of the card, completely bypassing the program

Transfer photos to laptop

Uninstall the Fuji Finepix Viewer software from your laptop. Use the Windows operating system to download and access your images through "my computer". If you are using the card slots in your laptop, the card should show up in my computer. If the card slots are not compatable with your new card, you can plug the camera into a USB slot, or use a card reader which will plug into the USB port. If you shoot at full (12 megapixel) resolution, the files may take longer to transfer than you are accustomed. Try downsizing the file size in the camera menu prior to shooting.
