I'm so sorry but becase of extra voltage, ur PS2 has been broken. If its under warranty sony will fix it up for free and if not, sony will take a fee and fix it up.

Can either be the power button(pretty common issue or a loose connector).Depend what kind of machine you have .PS2 have a common denominator...but actually the machine are different each other.The FAT one and the Slim one are totally different

bring it to the technician,,,, if you are less experience on wiring it will damage your ps2 console... besides there is a ribbon that slightly attach to the on and off power and reset just before you fully open it,,,, if you screwed while opening you might junk your ps2
