Error 8007007e i have windows wp sp2 ive install the latest windows live messenger coz was aving lot of problem when using my cam ive unistall it but after reinstalation when i login it tell me this error 8007007e

    Hi i have a windows vista with the same problem since i downloaded and installed WL 9 it just doesnt sign in and gives me this message Signing in to windows live messeger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable.Please try again later. I tried everything downgrading uninstalling than reinstalling everything if anybody has the solution for this plz help me.

The problem is that Live Messenger can't use the other programs like Visual C++, because new update erases the progress memory of earlier Messenger.

Install latest Microsoft Visual Studia Runtime C++ engine, Microsoft Live Communications Platform and Microsoft Application Error Reporting (depending of your platform.

Then just re-install live messenger.

Please try and be more careful In your title you've put Error Code : 8008007e Which is none existent. The correct code is 8007007e Please try and be more accurate. Luckily I have product knowledge and I know the codes.

Error code 8007007e

  1. Start > run > sfc /scannow
  2. Insert windows xp cd
  3. Restart computer
  4. You can skip step 1-3 but its strongly advised you do it.
  5. Uninstall msn messenger with ZapMessenger you can download it from:

6. Download and install Windows Installer Cleanup you can download it from:

7. Run the utility, select all items concerning Windows Live, delete the following:
- Windows Live Call

- Windows Live Messenger
- Windows Live Sign-in Assistant

8. Then restart computer
9. Download msn messenger again. You can download it from

10. Once installed Restart computer
