you may try to adjust the screens dwon abi to achieve a goog gery scale. if its still there and the crt's arn;t burned you may try to repiar the convergence module.the copper scews that are used for grounding the circut come loose over time and must be retightened ans resoldered.the panel in on the far left when your in the rear of the set 4 screws to remove and mark your plugs also./

I CANT ADJUST THE RED VERTICAL LINES ON MY JVC REAR PROJECTION TV. i HAVE DONE CONVERGENCE AND MANUALLY ADJUSTED THE RED LINES HORIZONTALLY, BUT NO LUCK WHAT CONTROLS TO USE VERTICALLY

If it will not adjust up or down or left and right the convergence chips need to be replaced.

See attached photos of board that is in your set:

Thin red line, green line and yellow line going across the screen

the problem is vertical collapse,i am not so sure you can trouble shoot this on your own but you can send the board to eithor pts electronics or tristate module for repair
to get a price get the number off the sticker--left hand board(looking from the back) it will start CTC195---- write down entire number before you call them
