Wont stop where is this "reset button"?
When I experienced this problem, my first impulse was to unplug the battery, plug it back in and then reboot the player. When I did this it appeared that all of my music had disappeared. After much fruitless dicking around, I went into the settings menu, clicked "extra" and found an option called "database refresh", selected it, then "yes". Then it seemed to be working on something for 2-3 minutes after which my music reappeared and the device was working normally again.

Reset should be right next to the "lock" 'button' at the top of the mp3 player. You actually need something small to push it...

The only thing I could do was completely delete the data and download everything all over again. I did this using the iRiver Firmware. For now I know no other way to get past this problem.
