I was self cleaning my oven this am and in the middle of cleaning it just shut down! I unplugged it and repluged it in and still nothing. The stove works but the oven is LOCKED shut and the panel is blank! Please help any all suggestions appreciated!

The temperature cut-out thermostat at the back of the oven has failed. You will need to pull the oven out and remove the back panel. Thermostat should be at the top in the middle. Once replaced oven will be back to normal.
Please call directly to KitchenAid/Whirpool and speak to the 'executive management team' - when I spoke to them they said this wasnt a common problem, they were not aware of the fault.. EVERYONE with this fault please call again.
Replacing the fuse each or not using the self clean function is not a fix!
I forgot to add that the only way the Tech is able to get the oven door unlocked after it shuts down in the Self-Clean (Self-Destruct?) mode is to take a pair of pliers and short across the bad Thermal Protection swtich before replacing it.
