When using our George Carpet cleaners, the valves seem to be leaking water and are left with a puddle of water around the bottom of the machine, any idea how to fix this?

This caan be caused by hard water in the home or by using cleaners not made foryour model. turn the machine upside down and using a sewing needle poke one by one the little holes in the base where the water comes out, this should be the issue any other issues like a hose leak would cause large amounts to come out of the rear and a feed line broken would do the same.
This can happen if you use the machine without the water check valve - the ball in the netting tube fixed to the removable disk that sits in the main tank when working in wet mode.
the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! Below is a link to dirt devil. just put in your model# for the manual. However most cleaners you buy give you the cleaner to water ratio on the bottle. Also you do not need to use Dirt Devil cleaner. All carpet cleaning solution are pretty much the same aside from the fragrance. The best ratio that I have found is approximately 5oz of cleaner for every gallon of water. Make sure you use hot water. Using cold water or waiting to long to use the mixture can reduce the efficiency of the cleaner. Hope this helps.
