***Storing a Number for Speed Dialing*** 1 Press Phone Book on the control panel. 2 Press Phone Book or the scroll button (􀂥 or 􀂊) to display ?Store&Edit? on the bottom line of the display. Press Enter. 3 Press Enter when ?Speed Dials? appears on the display. The display prompts you to enter a location number, showing the first available number. 4 Enter a one or two-digit speed dial number between 0 and 79, using the number keypad or scroll button (􀂥 or 􀂊), and press Enter. If a number is already stored in the location you chose, the display shows the number to allow you to change it. To start over with another speed-dial number, press Upper Level. 5 Enter the number you want to store using the number keypad and press Enter. To insert a pause between numbers, press Redial/Pause. A ?-? appears on the display. 6 To assign a name to the number, enter the name you want. For details about entering characters, see page 1.14. If you do not want to assign a name, skip this step. 7 Press Enter when the name appears correctly or without entering a name. 8 To store more fax numbers, repeat steps 4 through 7. Go to settings select phone then the option speed dial should pop up hit it then your contacts shiuld come up and choose witch. Number u want for each contact

How do I change the speed dial keys that are already programmed?

In the phone, press the Menu key.
Click View Speed Dial List.
Click a contact or phone number.
Perform one of the following actions:
- To change the contact that is assigned to a speed dial key, click Edit. Click a new contact.
- To assign the contact to a different speed dial key, click Move. Roll the trackball to move the contact to the new speed dial key. Click the trackball.
- To delete the contact from the speed dial list, click Delete.

Instructions to set up speed dial

hi, if the phone you have is a nokia, them follow these steps:
1.click on contact from the menu list on your phone
2.click on speed dials
3.asign numbers to the speed dials
then click on settings on the menu list
1.click on CALL from there
2 scroll down till you get to SPEED DIAL
3. click on ON.

How do I programm the Speed Dial on my 4406D+?

To program your Personal Speed Dial numbers, make a list of
your telephone numbers/extensions numbered 1 to 24, then:
Press an Intercom button + lift handset + dial #00 + dial # + list number (01 to 24) + dial *21 + the number you want to store + #*00.

To use Personal Speed Dial:
1: Press an Intercon button.
2: Press Feature (if you have programmed a "Feature" button) or #.
3: Dial the two-digit code (01 to 24).

Follow the following:
>Call Center at the bottom
>General call settings
>03 Speed dial
>Check that "enable speed dial" is on
Then
>02 Set number
>You will see a list of "empty"
>Touch on the one you want to assign a number
>Edit
>this takes you to your phone book
>Choose a name from your list and save it to your speed dial.
>To call the number from your speed dial list, click on the "Phone dial" icon, and hold the number down. For example, is the number 2 is home, hold 2 down until you see it dial and there you have it.

To assign a number to a speed dialing key, select Menu > Address Book > Speed
dial list, and scroll to the speed-dialing number that you want.

which model ?
generally in all cell phones v will be have speed dialing option in range costing handset also... v can set the 9 speed dialing numbers .... in which 1 speed dialing number is common that is sos(112) in samsung and motorola handsets ... common thing is may be in sony ericson also i m not sure ... in nokia handsets if we make the speed dialing option on then if we just press one number means we can call to the person ...
for ex: you may be having some person whom u will call frequently instead of selecting the number by going to phonebook if you put that number to speed dialing list means you can call them by pressing only one button...( while adding to the speed dialing list it will ask to assign the keys like 1,2,3... 9)
as every handset keypad will be having 0-9 number keys this is very useful ...
in some handsets the speed dialing option is found in phonebook & while in other it will be found in call options...

How do I set speed dial for one of my contacts? First, find the contact in your Contact List, highlight it, and press OK. Then select Options -> Speed Dialing and press OK.

Choose one of the numbers from the list and select Assign to assign it to your contact. You can now use 1-Touch Dialing for that phone number. Just press and hold that assigned one or two digit number instead of dialing the contact's entire phone number.
