I have an playstation 2 and a couple of months ago i got guitar hero. one month after having the game, it stopped working. when i put it in everythings fine until it's almost done loading then the screen turns blank and that as far as it wil go. and there are no scratches on it, and other games will play just fine.

Try taking out all the buttons and cleaning them. It might just be the contact is bad and has a bit of dust.

check your disk for scratches or fingerprints.

if you bought it from eb or game take it back. it came with a 12 month warranty. that is all. take it beck and get it either repaired or replaced. if its within the 12 months its free.

I also have GH World Tour. I don't get any notification about the mic being plugged in but it works just fine. Does it show your mic connected when playing?

If you have a wireless controller then i dont know what to do but if it has a wire then the wireless guitar probably is'nt reaching the sensor.

Get a cd cleaning cd and run in on the PS2 will work fine then
the ps2 just cant find the menu in diffrent spot
just use the cd cleaning disc and all shall b fine

check redoctane.com for a replacement receiver, i am not sure if you can buy another one but its worth a shot. good luck

i think you should take the alcohol and take a cotton swab and gently brush the lens back and forth for 30 seconds. Then take the alcohol and take a really soft tissue and rub it in a circular motion.

First of all, make sure the card is in slot one. I'm not sure about Guitar Hero 3, but I know many games default to searching the first slot (the one on your left as you look at the system).

Assuming that's not the problem, it could be a sign that your memory card is wearing out. Do you have a second memory card? If not, I suggest getting one. Either way, put one card in each slot, and go into the browser. Copy the Guitar Hero saves over to the other card, then put that card in slot 1 and see if it works. If it does, I suggest copying all your saved games over to the new card, and throwing the old one out before you lose any save games permanently.

haha you know i had the exact same problem with my PS3 version of the game i tried to trick the game by getting an adapter so i could plug my old PS2 guitar hero controller into it and just play 2 player that way and the exact same thing happend. Luckly i have a bud who works at game stop and he told me that second guitars for the game have been put up on sale yet so you have to buy the pack again for another guitar. How stupid is that, but yeah bud you me and everyone else is out of luck for now. But good news my bud at the stop told me they come on sale in about a month so not to much longer befor were all rockin out
