Replaced lcd get white screen

The display being white can be due to failure of the LCD.So to confirm remove battery and reset. It can also be a fault on the linking cable or the control board.

Remove the battery and keep the phone aside to reset and try as a last resort.If not the LCD display could be faulty. Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

Since you can't get to setting menu due to the white screen you will need to use someone elses computer to do a restore through iTunes.

Check the ribbon-cable between the motherboard and the LCD screen. It is not transmitting 100% of the video-information.
Be sure that it is not "crinkled", and that it is tightly connected at each end.

It could be the LCD ribbon is lose or the LCD is malfunctioning. In either case, you need to open the camera to fix it. A lose ribbon is not likely because Nikon cameras are well put together. It would require a huge impact to losen the ribbon. The LCD would be broken before the ribbon comes lose. but still needs to be replaced

the white screen indicates that the inverter is still good
if the laptop works with desktop monitor, then video card is good
if you tap the lid to the lcd and it goes on and off ,ribbon cable for sure,
everytime you open and close the screen , it tugs on the ribbon cable also , only tape holding this in place

IF THE WHITE SCREEN STAYS ON:
White screen indicates the signal from the video board inside your monitor is not getting to the screen.
You will have to take it apart to try to maybe fix it.
First thing you want to check is the connections from the video (VGA DVI) board to the back of the lcd panel. Bad connection here can cause your problem.
If the connections look clean and tight then you may have blown a fuse on the back of the lcd panel on the long circuit board. Usually the fuse is near the right side of where the ribbon connects and can be marked F1 or FB1. Checking this for DC voltage of about 5 volts may give you an answer.

I have had this problem recently myself and would like you to know that it is possible to fix. The white screen error or otherwise known as "white screen of death" is caused by the lcd color screen on the ipod itself. That is why its functions still work but the screen does not. Once you replace the color screen it will be as good as new.

unfortunately since the problem is on the hardware (lcd screen), there is no way of fixing it except from the people of the service center. 

For me, the problem was definitely the ribbon connector between the graphics chip and LCD. The YouTube video below describes how to open the dash. You only need to open the device (i.e. no need to take out the printed circuit board) and then you should re-seat the ribbon cable in the lower left hand corner back onto the PCB. Hardest part was finding a #6 torx screwdriver.
