The TV goes on and the picture comes on for about 2 seconds then goes out. The power light stays on and is solid. I replaced the Power Board and the Back Light Inverter board and still no luck. You can see the HDMI1 image with a flash light. What else can the problem be?
Did you remember to reconnect the inverter cord to the power supply. There are two inverter connections, from inverter to power supply. The top connection is the one usually forgotten. Hope this helps. Matt of Martins TV Repair.
If you have replaced the inverter board and the power board with known good parts the the panel itself is bad.
Testimonial: "How can it be bad if it lights up for 2 seconds. If I use a flashlight tilted at 45 degrees I can see the image in the background. So panel is working what else can it be?"

All the components are screwed to the back of the cabinet. Once the back screws are removed, the front bezel snaps off. (Not easily, but take courage and try.) Release a connector in a set of leads to the pilot light panel to get enough slack to lay the bezel flat. The LCD panel then removes with seven silver screws (one is a ground lead). Move it to the side, and the power supply board is accessible. Two connectors and four screws, and it comes out.

check to make sure that your tv is not starting in "line in" mode and to be starting in the tv mode.
if the screen flashes then goes out then you have a back light problem and it needs to be serviced! possible bad power inverter for the back lights
SOURCE: apex LD4088 no picture
The inverter is the usual suspect with that symptom. It may be hard to find a replacement inverter for an apex model. But you might be able to get one from www.tvrepairworld.com
