Have you uninstalled the webcam and re-install the drivers sa when you install some programs they overwrite the dll files in windows directory and goto the web and update the drivers if they have them on the manufactures web site.

If the laptop appears to be working other than the screen hook a monitor to the video output, if you get a picture on the monitor you can evaluate what is working, but if the symptom is the same the video graphics chip or the motherboard is the issue.
I have found that the installed web cams on most units are inferior and a external USB cam has better quality in sound and picture and are very cheap and can be pointed in any direction and even used to copy photos your screen or documents , so if you are a frequent cam user buy your self a USE cam for $50 or less
from the logitech video instructions it says:
Going full screen is easy. When you're on a video call, just click the icon (on the left corner) to enlarge your video to full screen. Just click on the video or press ESC to return to normal video size. Picture-in-picture allows you to see what others see. Click on the PIP icon to turn it on.
If this is not working as it is the latest XP driver needs to be downloaded from the logitech web site.
turn the black ring that is around the len's while your cam is on and you can see a picture. ...the black ring will focus your lens. turn till you get a clear picture...turn either one way or the other till picture clears up
