I have a cuisinart coffee maker. I can set the

I have a cuisinart brew central 12 cup DCC-1200W coffee maker. I can program the brew timer, but my clock will not allow me to set the hour or minutes. I turn the dial to the "clock" position, then press the hour and minute buttons and nothing happens. But, if I turn the dial to "PROG" to set the brew time, the hour and minute buttons work just fine. I'm frustrated. Setting the clock time used to work, but we had a power outage and I am not sure if that messed with the clock's function. The clock does not tell accurate time, so I have to compute when the brew should turn on for it to brew at the desired real time. (hope that makes sense.) Any ideas on how to fix it??? Each time we have a power outage, it's even more frustrating to set the brew time when the clock can't get set.

Unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - not a second less - in order to fully reset it. Then, when you plug it back in, turn the function dial to Clock again. Press and hold the HR button for a few seconds, and then set the hours. It should work now unless it got zapped, as you said.

Good luck!

Sounds like a short. Call cuisinart they are very helpful for troubleshooting. If your machine is under 3 years old they will replace it for $10. Their number is 1-800-726-0190

Coffee maker shuts off too soon after brewing.

Hello FloydBob, The Cuisinart DCC-1200 has the ability to program the auto-off function that keeps your coffee warmer plate on after brewing is complete.

The unit lets you select the time increments from zero up to 4 hours.

See page 6 of the attached manual for the full instructions for reprogramming the coffee maker.

To program the Variable Auto Off:
1. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to the “Auto Off”
position. Press and hold the “Hour” button
for 2 seconds. The clock display will start
blinking.
2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from
zero to four hours after brew cycle is
finished by using the “Hour” and “Minute”
push-buttons.

I figured you might also like to have a complete instruction/owners manual so you can have access for any other questions you might have about your coffee maker, in the future.

Can one buy Cuisinart dcc 1200 coffee maker heater elements

Hello handkrobbins,
Yes, you can buy the heater elements but not from Cuisinart directly. You will need to find a small appliance repair shop to order it for you. I hope this was helpful to you. Positive feedback is appreciated. Good luck and regards, NormanZ

Leaks water out overnight

I bet it leaks from the back, right? If it does, it has the same problem as my dad's.
You have a leak in the back of the holding tank. Fill it up, turn it around, without plugging it in, and watch for the water leak. If it's in a spot that you can see, then use some caulking to seal the leak. That should work. If not, it is leaking out from inside the plastic holding tank. Not much you can do but buy a new one.

Cuisinart DCC-2000 12-Cup Coffee Maker shuts off after brewing

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.
