My mp3 player suddenly will not turn on. I'm sure it's not a battery problem, since i just put in a new one. When i push the ON button, it says, "system loading" and then shuts off. I've tried to turn it on many times, but i get the same thing. But,when I hook it on to the computer, I can see and listen to all the songs in the mp3. Help! i need to know how to fix it!!!
My mp3 does not turn on either. It has a new battery. When connected to the PC, I can see the songs are there and can listen to them.
What can I do to fix it??

Re-format? Insert it into your pc, and right click the folder from "my computer" and select "re-format" This will whipe your mp3 players files completely so you will have to put your music files back on.
Look on the side of the player. You should see a silver decal near the bottom. The third line with apx 13 digits of letters and numbers is the serial number you need.
There is a hold/lock switch on the side - make sure it is disengaged - check the user's manual for the location of the switch (available from Samsung's website if you have lost it).
Use the Samsung Firmware Updater to fix it. Mine did what all of you are speaking about. I was ready to toss it then I tried the firmware updater on the CD and it fixed it. You must copy all the files from the \setup\Programs\ and \setup\Binary\ folders on the Samsung CD to a folder on your hard drive. Then connect the player via USB and run stupdaterapp.exe. It will search for the device and pop up a menu. Check the Format Data Are box and click start. It takes a few minutes and wipes the device clean but it fixed mine.
The serial # should be etched onto the player itself - you may have to remove the battery case if it's not directly on the back of the player. The serial # would not be on the manual or paperwork.
