Coby mp3 player displays a"error 4" code instead of playing music

how do i get music on to my coby mp3 from the computer, my daughters works from the computer why doesnt mine

the first time when it was saying error(4) i tried to reset it and when i reset it, it took all my music files away. how do i get my music files back.

To upload file to the COBY MP3 player, I went to setting, went to USB setting's, changed MTP mode to MSC mode then I was able to get access to folders with-in the mp3 player.

Your music may be in the wrong format or it may have DRM protection which is a license created by the recording industry. If you call our tech support number above, we can walk you through discovering why the music won't play.

Coby players can recognize .mp3 and .wma audio formats. If you're pulling the music from iTunes, it's in the wrong format and will not play on a Coby without being converted.

Go to the Coby website, look for your model player.On the that page there is an option to download latest firmware and the video converter.Download the zip file for the firmware.PLEASE NOTE...when you unzip the file please read the pdf file for instuction before you try to click the actual firmware file.One important reason is because using the firmware update restores your player to manufactures default and deletes all files presently on it....So my advice back up your files and read the instructions carefully.This fireware update is specifically to fix that sys err problem.
