Broken ipod screen

This is probably a problem not easily fixed, but I was wondering if an internally cracked ipod screen is fixable. I turned it on and under the glass screen there is a black crack and the screen now just stays white.

What part do i need to order to replace the cracked screen on my philips television model# 42pfl7403d/f7. what part do i need to order, so i can fix it?

Hi Misty,
The broken screen in your TV is replaced as complete panel unit. Usually the replacement is expansive and the panels are not easily available. Better go for new set and put the internal parts of the broken set for sale on internet.

How to Replace The iPod Display
Replacing your iPod's screen is actually a lot easier than you would expect. The kind folks at Apple have made access to the inside of the iPod very easy, making for quick upgrades and fixes. While you have the iPod open, you can also upgrade the internal hard drive to a much larger capacity to hold more movies, music and photos. Replacement screens for the iPod are very easy to come by these days, so get a hold of one of those from an online retailer and replace it yourself, instead of getting charged by Apple to do something you can easily do at home.

2 Use your flat screwdriver and gently insert it into the small crack between the iPod case and the iPod backing. Once you have the tool slightly inside the crack, slide it around the entire iPod to pry the pieces apart. Be very careful not to pull them apart, as there are three ribbon connectors that need to be disconnected first.
3 Lift up the ribbon connector that connects to the hard drive, which is large and blue, and disconnect the hard drive. Release the ribbon that connects to the battery, the smaller blue object, and disconnect it. Release the final ribbon by lifting up its tab. Unhook the final ribbon to disconnect it.
4 Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the six screws around the iPod front cover. Remove the frame of the iPod front cover. Unhook the screen's ribbon and pull out the iPod screen. Insert your new iPod screen and work backward to put everything back together. Don't forget to connect all of the ribbons

5 Turn on your iPod to test your new iPod screen.

Hi.. I have a bose wave ipod docking system.. the sound is amazing.. or was... until a few weeks back when i noticed that in order to hear my ipod... i had to tweak the ipod a little on the docking...

Are you using a voltage adapter of some kind to convert the ireland standard 220VAC to the USA standard 120VAC that this device uses? Over voltage can deplete an electronics life very quickly.
By the sound of the "thump-thump-thump" noise emitting from the device, you may have a broken ipod dock connector, or a short somewhere in the connector/wiring/device itself, or the ground has failed.
By the description of having to "tweak" your ipod to hear it, it sounds like you've slowly broken the dock connector. Check to see if it moves easily, or if you can hear anything loose.
This is more than likely fixable, but it's probably easier to replace the device than to fix a broken connector.

It's not too hard to replace the screen yourself. Here is an iPod Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPod. Logic boards are easily available on Ebay. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair

If the screen is cracked, you probably can't fix it. Judging by your description, that is the case, so I think your m:robe is lost.
