KEYBOARD not working correctly [[hp keyboard]]
a used PC fails.
no PC stated. no OS XP?
not even desktop or laptop
the photo implies Desktop
if yes, the try a barrowed keyboard, if that works bingo. no?
if not the OS is messed up or the keyboard driver is messed
all software, that is.
? this is shifted "/" so does "/" work you never said what works and what not.?
try all USB ports yet< bet first.
then barrow a keyboard.
or if all that fails, then we go to windows control panel
and click device manager
the right click the keyboard, line and pick update. driver
if connected to the internet, bingo, happens PnP, plug and play.
if XP or VISTA , Microsoft does not support those now.
OMG1: (oh my golly)
that is a very old PS2 keyboard, from 20 years ago!!!
why in the world use any PS2 keyboard in the year 2017? when USB just works. (universally) !!!
PS2 must match your unstated PC
so yours is HP KBD., is it plugged in to a DELL or non HP PC??
bingo WRONG.
why post any PC forum lacking 2 things
what PC.
what OS.
we only see PS2 post here on rare days.
its dead technology , long dead.
why not buy a pc from Goodwill sory. for $20
that is w7 and newer, 2009 (October or newer)
and avoid all relic PCs/
10 x better support you will get.
more actually.
the PS2 keyborads long long ago, generic
has switch to change it from the targeted IBM, PC 1987
seen here, clearly
what HP uses here, IVE NO CLUE nor care.
but you can just swap PS2 keyboards willlynillly
