Error disk reading Xbox 360

Hello,You should replace your disc. May be your disc might have some error. Contact the store where you purchased your game and ask them to offer you a replacement Gaming disc immediately.

This is a common issue.
1. Make sure your disk is clean. Dirty disk can cause disk reading issues.
2. Clean the drive with a CD/DVD laser cleaner.
3. Replace the laser. You can get a replacement from Ebay for $10-15. Make sure you get the right one for you drive. There are several different models.

3.Bad DVD Drive. Sometimes other components inside of the DVD drive can become bad such as the motor that spins the disk, the motors that open the tray, etc, etc. You can get a new DVD drive to just replace everything,including the laser, in one shot but there is a catch. The XBOX 360's DVD drive is tied to the motherboard using a software lock.The easiest way to overcome this lock is to buy the exact same manufacture DVD drive that is in your system now, remove the circuit board from the old DVD drive (which contains the software key) and transfer the circuit board into the new DVD drive that you purchase. If you do this simple procedure, there is no flashing involved. ok , if it is giving u the open tay error , every time u try and load it , it could be a number of reasons behind it , i had the same problom , most games will play but i had 1 game that no matter how many new copys of the game i got , when i put it in my xbox the game spun 3 times and then said , open tray , like trhere was no game in the xbox, so i went 2 you tube and typed in open tray error xbox 360 and there r loads of examples on how 2 fix it , if u keep opening and closing the tray each time after it says open tray after about 6 to 7 times , it should play , but i would go 2 you tube , becase u need 2 open your disc drive 2 fix the problom.

Sounds like your cd drive is not reading the discs properly. If that's not the problem, then you have a scratched disc on your hands.

Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your scratched/non-working game to them. They will give you good money for it.

If you have the original X box CD's it will work fine expect when you have issues with region code.PAL NTSC are the two format a game can work with.so if you have NTSC formated game TRY a PAL version.it may work.
else clean your lens and try inserting a new CD of that GAME.

You have a problem with your Xbox. 3 Game discs arent all faulty.
Call a service agent and tell them your Xbox cannot read discs.

Lazer burn!!!happens to a load of my discs too usually doesnt kill em though

Heres what you need to do:
1.Call 1800-4myxbox see if your still under warranty.
2.If you like, I do not think its nessary, get them to replace your current 360.

What 95% of the time causes the 360 to damage teh disk is when your system is *VERTICAL* (up and down) or if you move the console while your playing it, or if the console got knocked over while a game is playing.

From now on put the console horizontal, this will prevent the scratching of games.
