Water in door stopped dispensing

WATER IN THE DOOR HAS SUDDENLY STOPPED DISPENSING. ICE SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE. THE ICE BIN IS FULL AND WILL DISPENSE. CAN'T GET WATER TO DISPENSE-- I notice this was posted previously and I have the exact same problem. The only thing I can add is that when you press the water dispense button you can hear it hum.

After reading all the other threads I decided to see if it was just frozen up. I opened the door, turned off the freezer, put a blow dryer in the ice chute and let it run for about 5-10 minutes. Worked like a charm!

    This board is a lifesaver.

We just had this happen on our Kenmore side-by-side and we had to replace the water valve and now it works great.

LG Freezer ice maker makes ice but wont dispense

There is a mechanical flap (trap door) that should open to allow ice that is being pushed by the auger in the bottom of the bin to fall out. Possibly the solenoid that opens the door does not work, or you just have an obstruction (piece of ice) preventing the door from opening far enough to allow the ice to pass through. Here is some helpful information and instructions.

Lg freezer ice maker making ice but not dispensing

I have the same problem. I am getting tired of having to clear it out about once a week. I take the ice holder out and empty it in a large bowl and remove any large, melted together pieces, then replace it. It works fine for a while.

Whirlpool refrigerator won't make ice--just out of warranty

I would have to say control board but you could look for a bin level switch. This is what tells the machine that the ice Bin is full. If it is duty or damaged the machine will never make ice as it thinks there is enough already there

I have a Whirlpool White Conquest Side-By-Side Refrigerator GS6SHAXLQ03, manufactured March 2003. The ice maker creates ice and fills the "holding bin" on the interior of the door. However,...

The ice will melt during the defrost cycle. Make sure your freezer is cold enough, at least -5, preferably -10. also, if your freezer is not full of food, put some milk jugs full of water in there to take up space. This will keep the temp colder when the compressor shuts off for the defrost cycle. if there is too much empty space, there is not enough mass to stabilize the temperature and keep it cold.

The water dispense in the door of my fridge stopped working. I checked the lines in back and took the filter out to check it. All seems fine. As far as I know it's making ice because the bin is full.

Check the line under the door, there is a connection you can release and check if the water is flowing through the filter etc. My guess is the water line in the frezzer door is frozen. I thawed it out with a hair dryer and a wire snake but it froze again. Don't know the long term solution.

GS6SHEXMLoo side by side ice dispenser not working

On advice from the tech I removed acess door. It was covered by frozen moisture.
I removed the motor it was full of water. I verified 120 volts at plug to motor from control
by depressing the door switch and ice dispenser lever at same time. The motor ohms out
but because of amount of water removed from it I am going to replace it and see what happens.
