There are a couple of possiblities - the phone is ported but not programmed, the phone type is not correct (420 instead of 4025) or the wires are reversed.
1) The phone cannot communicate with the switch.
2) Make sure your connections are good at both the jack that you plug the phone into and the block or connection coming from the Mitel switch.
What Mitel Switch do you have?

The time has to be changed in the programming interface of the phone system itself. You cannot change the time from any set other than a 4150 or a super console 1000. These sets can only be used to change the time on a mitel sx200 or icp. This does not work on the 3300.
Your phone has lost communications with the main controller (back room equipment) and is trying to reestablish the communications link and boot up. Try unplugging the phone (line cord) and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't fix it then either the phone is defective or the circuit going from your desk back to the phone equipment room is bad, or the phone has been deprogrammed from the system database. Hope this helps.
it's because the operator set a message to your phone. You need to leave the handset on the cradle and push the message button. Read the display and follow the prompts. You should be able to clear the message.
the Superset 4025 is a digital set that is intended to work with a Mitel telephone system. The port must be programmed and connected to a jack to allow the phone to work. The phone is not intended to be used as a home telephone.
The Call Forward is set up by using the BLUE Super KEY located below the display. You have to know the Voicemail Pilot Number to be able to complete the programming. Basically you press " superkey ", say NO to the prompts until Call Forwarding comes up, say YES to Call Fordward, choise the type of forward you want ( always, no answer, busy, busy/no answer )dial in the voicemail pilot number, press save and then press the superkey to exit programming. Good Luck
In the days before voicemail, Mitel had a "Call Me Back" feature that would light the MWI. We now use the MWI for voicemail, but the capability is still there. You can solve it several ways.
1. Go to the blinking phone and press the Messages button. One of those should be "Call me back". Press it and when the other party picks up, the MWI should turn off.
-or-
2. Look up the FAC for Message Waiting - Deactivate in your phone switch. On my switch it is *91.
You cannot change models like that without changing the configuration for that extension in the phone switch. If it's configured as a SS4015, then you can plug any other SS4015 into the jack. If you want to change it to a SS4025, then you need to reconfigure the extension in the switch.
