My friend just bought a car that had the CDX-FM563 6-disc CD changer already installed. Unfortunately, it did not come with instructions on how to use it. I cannot seem to find a manual for this system anywhere online. Can someone please just give me some basic pointers like: 1. Does the CD need to face a certain way? 2. Does the radio station need to be tuned to a certain station? Man, I sound like a complete idiot here. I apologize, but really...I have pressed every button I can think of, and nothing works! Any help would be wonderful. Thanks so much. Judy
Usually there is a button combo you press on the stereo in the car to tell it to enter CD changer mode, his combo is dependent on the manufacturer of Stereo in your car, on mine you press the CD button while turning on, once in CD changer mode you should be able to select CD and track. Yes the CDs have to be a particular way up, although there is only a choice of 2 different ways so trial and error should suffice :)

Thanks so much, I will ask her to try that. I realized I forgot to add the manufacturer in my previous post. It's Pioneer.
I'll let you know if it works!
