Hi our bosch washer as just started to refuse to do a quick wash which should be about 40 mins long .when the quick wash button is pressed it lights up as normal but goes on to do a full wash or even longer .After about 150 mins it finishes washing .If the full wash is selected that program also takes longer than it should .Can anybody give me any ideas which part could be at fault.
thank you
kevin
The timer sticks at one place. Quite a common problem. The least common is the actual failure of the timer itself. It is much more commonly caused by the failure of the heater, water valve, pump, a broken wire or even a blockage in the pressure system or waste system.

First clean around the rubber with some mould and mildew cleaner for bathrooms - available from most supermarkets.
This is a natural accumulation of waste detergent, fabric softener, fibres and dirt build up that is being attacked by bacteria and eventually decomposes into a sludge / goo and then eventually starts smelling bad as well.
To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away:
1.Remove all items from the washer. 2.Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage. 3.Close the washer door and dispenser drawer. 4.Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes 5.Press Start and allow cycle to complete. 6.After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior. 7.Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly
Programmes appear to be taking excessively long time to complete even with the quick wash button pressed - 2 hour 15 min for 30 Cotton wash cycle. Is this right or is there a fault? 30 Easy-care seems to be taking almost as long.
you only need to check the filter once a month or so depending on what you wash - blankets for example give off a lot of fluff. to help prevent water spilling out when you check, put machine on drain and check filter while draining.
