I JUST PURCHASED TEAC CD-RW880. I PLAYED CD BY PLUGGING THE 880 INTO SANSUI R950 AV AND IT WORKED GREAT. NOW I WANT TO COPY A TAPE FROM MY TASCAM 202 MKIII, TO THE TEAK CD-RW880. I TRIED A FEW DIFFERENT PLG IN ARRANGEMENTS, BUT SO FAR NOTHING WORKED. DOES THE TAPE FILE FROM THE TASCAM PLUG DIRECTLY TO THE IN SOCKET ON CD-RW880, OR DOES IT HAVE TO GO FROM THE MKIII TO THE SANSUI R-950AV AND THEN TO THE CD-RW880?

I'D APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND GUIDANCE.

Can I install Windows XP on a Sony Vaio PCG705? Someone gave my father in law the above computer but he needs XP on it. I am not sure if I can just install it or if I need to do something else?

Hi,
The laptop is fairly old so I'm 99.9% sure that the computer will take XP with no problems at all.
All you will need is an XP installation CD and you should be good to go.
If you need any help on how to install XP (booting from the CD first) please post back.

Regards.

CD-RW880 records only 10-15 minutes then stops

Hi i would say try other cd recordable media but it sounds like your player has a tracking/laser pick-up problem or a laser mechanism fault,i would suggest you take it to the nearest repair agent to get them to look at it for you. regards. paul.

Questions

Swop the CDR into the tape outputs on the amp and use it just like the tape recorder you had hooked up. Also do a direct digital link to a CD player for digital copies.
